The Court released the following case announcement: 2026-0387 Nippon Steel N. Am, Inc. v. Russo. In Prohibition. On Frederick D. DiSanto and Ancora Holdings Group, L.L.C.’s motion to intervene. Motion granted. Intervening respondents’ motion for leave to file opposition to relators’ emergency request for alternative writ and immediate stay of proceedings granted. Respondent’s motion to dismiss granted. Relators’ emergency request for alternative writ and immediate stay of proceedings denied as moot. Cause dismissed.
The Court dismissed In re Application of Ohio Power Co. (2025-1240 and 2025-1241). Oral argument scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, has been canceled.

In State ex rel. Benitez Sanchez v. Franklin Cty. Court of Appeals, the Court permitted the relator to file a response within 10 days to the respondent’s motion to dismiss the case.

The Court released the following case announcement: 2026-0750 State v. Boyer. Pike App. No. 25CA944. Sua sponte, appellee ordered to file a response, if any, to appelant's motion to enforce the June 25, 2026 entry, to disregard appellee's request for additional time, to discharge appointed appellate counsel, and for immediate corrective relief no later than 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026. No requests or stipulations for extension of time shall be filed, and the clerk of the court shall refuse to file any requests or stipulations for extension of time.

In RiverSouth Auth. v. Harris, the Court ruled that a Columbus nonprofit organization is entitled to a property tax exemption for a parking garage it operates.

In In re Application of Columbia Gas of Ohio, Inc., the Court rejected challenges to Columbia Gas of Ohio’s $68 million rate increase approved by state regulators in 2023.

In Stingle v. Ascent Resources-Utica, L.L.C., the Court ordered the appellees to file a response, if they choose, by noon, Friday, June 26, to the appellant’s emergency motion to stay the proceedings.
In In re Cases Held for 2024-0814 and 2024-0815, Olentangy Local School Dist. Bd. of Edn. v. Delaware Cty. Bd. of Revision, the Court decided 47 cases based on its prior ruling that a local board of education is unable to appeal the tax valuation of real property except for property it owns or leases.
In State v. Dejournett (2026-0456 and 2026-0647), the Court appointed Joseph Shell to represent the appellant.

In Moore v. Mercy Med. Ctr., the Court ruled a trial court could reject an expert's sworn statement in a malpractice lawsuit because the statement contradicted his previously submitted written report.
In E.S. v. L.J., the Court ordered the appellee to file a response, if any, by 9 a.m., Thursday, June 25, to the appellant’s revised motion for expedited consideration.
