Important Dates

When a deadline for filing an application falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the application can be timely filed on the Monday following the deadline.

2024
Jan. 15	Deadline: Late Application to Register as a Candidate for the July 2024 bar examination
Feb. 27-28	Administration of the February 2024 Bar Examination at the Roberts Centre
April 1	Deadline: Application to take the July 2024 bar examination Note: The dates for the July 2024 bar examination are July 30 - 31
April 26	Release of the results of the February 2024 bar examination
May 6	Bar Admissions Ceremony for successful February 2024 examinees who have met all admission requirements. This event will take place at 2 p.m. at the Palace Theatre. The Bar Admissions ceremony will be recorded as a service for the newly admitted attorneys, their families, and guests. The video will contain coverage of the entire event, including all speakers and the presentation of wall certificates. This video can be viewed in the Supreme Court video archive.
May 10	Deadline: Late application to take the July 2024 bar examination
July 30-31	Administration of the July 2024 bar examination
Aug. 15	Deadline: Late Application to register as a candidate for the February 2025 bar examination
Oct. 25	Release of the results of the July 2024 bar examination
Nov. 1	Deadline: Application to take the February 2025 bar examination Note: The dates for the February 2025 bar examination are Feb. 25-26
Nov. 12	Bar Admissions Ceremonies for successful July examinees who have met all admission requirements. This event will take place during two sessions, one at 10:30 a.m. and one at 2 p.m. at the Palace Theatre in Columbus. The time of the ceremony is based upon the law school attended by the examinee. View the list by school. The November Bar Admissions ceremonies will be recorded as a service for the newly admitted attorneys, their families, and guests. The video will contain coverage of the entire event, including all speakers and the presentation of wall certificates. This video can be viewed in the Supreme Court video archive.
Nov. 15	Deadline: Timely Application to Register as a Candidate for Admission (for applicants in the second year of law school)
Dec. 10	Deadline: Late Application to take the February 2025 bar examination
