Information for Local Courts


Participating courts or court-approved providers are encouraged to schedule and host education in their own communities using materials from the Supreme Court of Ohio free of charge. Materials for the following courses are currently available:

  • Fundamentals of Adult Guardianship
  • Guardianship of the Estate
  • Introduction to the Developmental Disabilities System
  • Medications and Medical Advocacy
  • Government Benefits

One additional course will be developed in 2018. Providers may schedule courses any time after the availability date.

  • Alzheimer's and Dementia (available Dec. 13, 2018)

Video replays do not carry CLE accreditation by default. Participating courts or court-approved providers may act as the sponsor and apply for CLE credit.

Local site responsibilities related to CLE accreditation include:

  • Apply 60 days in advance of the program. The application fee for timely submissions is $25.
  • Submit requests for credit within 30 days after the program.
  • A qualified speaker, familiar with the recorded materials, shall be present to expand upon and provide supplemental commentary and to answer questions posed by attendees.
