This tutorial will show you the preparation needed before using the Supreme Court of Ohio’s e-filing portal, how accessing the e-filing portal, logging in to the portal for the first time, and general login instructions.
Let’s get started.
The easiest way to access the e-Filing portal is from the Supreme Court’s home page.
Before using the e-Filing portal, be sure to review the relevant Supreme Court of Ohio Rules of Practice. You may click now to download the rules or download later on the e-Filing home page.
Click on the e-Filing Portal link to enter.
Your e-Filing user name is your Attorney Registration or Pro Hav Vice number.
The first time you access the e-Filing portal, you will use the same password you use to access the Attorney Services portal. Click on the link to go to Attorney Services portal password recovery.
During the first time log in, you will be prompted to change your e-Filing password.
You will then enter your e-mail address which will be used for all e-Filing communication. Changing your e-Filing password or e-mail will not affect your Attorney Services portal password or e-mail.
You will also be prompted to create a security question and answer of your choice.
Click on the link to go to the Attorney Services password recovery.
Remember, your e-Filing user name will always be your Attorney Registration or Pro Hac Vice number and cannot be changed. After logging in to e-Filing for the first time and changing the password, you will continue to enter the updated password to log in.
If you forgot your password, click the “Forgot Password?” link to enter your user name and have your password automatically e-mailed to the e-mail address associated with your e-Filing account.
If you need to update your e-mail, click the Change Email button.
We hope the tutorial has been helpful to get you started with the e-Filing portal. Be sure to download the User Guide from the e-Filing home page.
