Internship Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in an internship with the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission. The Commission conducts sentencing research and data analysis and is an independent source for statewide criminal justice policy

Internships are unpaid, volunteer positions open to graduate, law, and undergraduate students. Accepted applicants may arrange externships with their schools for course credit for their work with the Commission. Positions are also available for work-study students. Applicants should have an interest in the work of the Commission, be able to communicate clearly, have strong research and writing skills and computer proficiency.

How to Apply

Please submit all applications electronically in PDF format and include: the completed internship application form; a current resume; a short legal or analytical writing sample, and two references.

When to Apply

Applications for Spring semester (January to May) and Fall semester (September to December) are accepted on a rolling basis. Applications for Summer (June to August) are accepted from February 1 to May 30. Applications are considered as they are received, so students are advised to apply early.
