Internship Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in an internship with the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission. The Commission conducts sentencing research and data analysis and is an independent source for statewide criminal justice policy

Internships are unpaid, volunteer positions open to graduate, law, and undergraduate students. Accepted applicants may arrange externships with their schools for course credit for their work with the Commission. Positions are also available for work-study students. Applicants should have an interest in the work of the Commission, be able to communicate clearly, have strong research and writing skills and computer proficiency.

How to Apply

Please submit all applications electronically in PDF format and include: the completed internship application form; a current resume; a short legal or analytical writing sample, and two references.

Materials should be emailed to OCSC@sc.ohio.gov or submitted through the Adobe PDF's built in submission button.

When to Apply

Please indicate which semester you are applying for when you submit your application materials.

Application Deadlines

Summer: Application materials are due by March 15. Summer internships typically run from May through August.

Fall: Application materials are due by June 30. Fall internships typically run from August through December.

Spring: Application materials are due by Nov. 30. Spring internships typically run from January through May.
