Juvenile Judges Elect Officers
Ohio’s juvenile court judges elected new officeholders this week during the annual joint summer conference of the Ohio associations of juvenile, probate and domestic relations judges.
Montgomery County Juvenile Court Judge Anthony Capizzi was elected to a one-year term as president of the Ohio Association of Juvenile Court Judges.
“I am excited and honored to have been elected President of the Ohio Juvenile Judges Association for the upcoming year,” Judge Capizzi said. “I want to strengthen the association’s ability to respond to the challenges and issues effecting member judges. I plan to encourage judges to reach out to other members for advice and best practices that can better improve the services we supply to children and families in our communities.”
“In addition, I will continue my efforts to offer quality, practical judicial training/education in partnership with the Judicial College,” he continued. “Finally I hope to encourage more collaboration with the domestic and probate associations both as we plan the joint summer conference and more importantly as we look for solutions to problems that affect our children and families.”
The other juvenile court judges elected to leadership positions in the association include:
- Lorain County Domestic Relations/Juvenile Court Judge Debra L. Boros, president-elect
- Harrison County Probate/Juvenile Court Judge Matthew P. Puskarich, treasurer
- Butler County Juvenile Court Judge Kathleen Dobrozsi Romans, secretary
- Mahoning County Juvenile Court Judge Theresa Dellick, immediate past president
