1. Salaries are set by statute. Judicial salaries have not been adjusted since 2008 when statutory authority for annual increases expired.

2. Figures shown represent the aggregate annual salary payable for full-time municipal court judges. The local share is $61,750 per year, and the balance is paid by the State through a Supreme Court appropriation.

3. Figures shown represent the aggregate annual salary payable for part-time municipal and county court judges. The local share is $35,500 per year, and the balance is paid by the state through a Supreme Court appropriation.

4. House Bill 64 (HB64), the 2016-2017 budget law, includes a series of four 5 percent market adjustments to the judicial compensation schedule. The first adjustment takes effect on or about Oct. 1, 2015. Succeeding adjustments take place on Jan. 1, 2017, Jan. 1, 2018, and Jan. 1, 2019.
