Required Education for Judicial Candidates

All judicial candidates, including incumbent judges, are required to attend a two hour seminar on campaign practices, finance, and ethics, pursuant to Rule 4.2(A)(4) of the Code of Judicial Conduct.

Required Education for New Judges

All new judges — elected and appointed, part-time and full-time — are required to participate in the four-part Judicial Orientation Program, pursuant to Gov.Jud.R. IV(10).

Mandatory Ohio Judicial Orientation Program:

Part I: New Judges Orientation, Part I Dec. 12-15, 2022
Part II: New Judges Orientation, Part II May 8-11 2023
Part III: Capital Cases Seminar April 7-8, 2022 OR March 23-24, 2023
