Justice McGee Brown Visits YWCA Facility
Supreme Court of Ohio Justice Yvette McGee Brown yesterday toured Newton Residency and met with residents to discuss the benefits of the YWCA Northwest Ohio program.
Newton Residency provides transitional housing, life-skills training and case management services for women 18 and older seeking to become self-sufficient.
“I have always valued the work of the YWCA, having served as a board member and chair of the YWCA Columbus,” Justice McGee Brown said. “It’s encouraging to see the women taking control of their lives and creating a path toward self sufficiency. The YWCA has always been the place to support women and provide housing.”
“I am proud to share their stories; women with incredible strength and perseverance on the journey to healing. I am glad to have met these women. They are inspiring.” she said.
