Justice Lanzinger Speaks at Rotary Conference
With a topic of “Doing Good While Doing Well,” Supreme Court of Ohio Justice Judith Ann Lanzinger spoke Saturday night to an annual district gathering of Rotary Club members at Ohio Christian University.
While her remarks primarily focused on how state courts serve their citizens, Justice Lanzinger also expressed appreciation on behalf of the Supreme Court for the unselfish work of Rotary Clubs here and internationally.
“As the first service organization, Rotary International is known worldwide for its many programs that help others,” Justice Lanzinger said during the Governors Banquet of District 6690. “The good work you perform in the communities you serve is more important now than ever and valued more than you’ll ever know.”
Now serving her second six-year term on the Supreme Court, Justice Lanzinger is the only person ever elected to every level of Ohio’s judiciary. The 150th Justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio, she previously served on the Sixth District Court of Appeals for Ohio, the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas and the Toledo Municipal Court. Her varied judicial experience allows her a unique perspective of the state court system.
