Training to Assist Specialized Dockets in Applying for Federal Grant Money
Specialized dockets court personnel will receive help in applying and developing proposals for federal grant money on May 10 at a training sponsored by the Ohio Supreme Court’s Specialized Dockets Section and the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services.
The application will be released May 1 and is due May 31 to OCJS for the local trial court allocations for Fiscal Year 2012 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program State and Local Solicitations.
The grant program is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions and supports all components of the criminal justice system: from multijurisdictional drug and gang task forces to crime prevention and domestic violence programs, courts, corrections, treatment, and justice information sharing initiatives.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on May 10 for the 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. program that will be held in Room 101 at the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center.
