Supreme Court Adopts Amendments on Limited Liability Language Usage
The Supreme Court of Ohio has adopted amendments that change references to “partnership having limited liability” and “registered partnership” to “limited liability partnership.” The changes take effect Jan. 1, 2012.
The changes conform the Supreme Court Rules for the Government of the Bar of Ohio and the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct to the language used in an updated Ohio Revised Code chapter. The amendments also update the statutory references to the Ohio Uniform Partnership Act.
