Information Sought on 2011 Pro Bono Work
For the fourth consecutive year, Ohio attorneys will be asked to report their pro bono activities to identify gaps in the delivery of free civil legal services in the state.
The joint project of the Supreme Court and the Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation (OLAF) directs attorneys to a reporting website to answer eight questions about their 2011 pro bono work that should take about five minutes to complete.
All Ohio attorneys registered as “active” who have provided email addresses to the Supreme Court’s Office of Attorney Services will receive an email in early 2012 with the reporting link.
All information submitted will be collected voluntarily without identifiers, so the results will remain anonymous.
Attorneys are encouraged to begin collecting records of any pro bono work undertaken in 2011, including financial contributions to a legal services organization.
On an annual basis, OLAF compiles and reports the information collected to the Court and legal services organizations throughout Ohio.
