Construction Project Impacts Traffic Around Columbus

A major downtown interstate construction project under way in Columbus may affect attorneys’ and parties’ ability to arrive at the Supreme Court of Ohio for arguments or hearings in the usual amount of travel time. Parties are advised to please plan accordingly.

The Ohio Department of Transportation explains that several exit and ramp closures – some permanent and some not – and lane restrictions will occur during the three-year Interstate 71/I-670 project. The first closures began earlier in September with three more scheduled this week.

Both directions of travel to downtown on I-71 and I-670 are impacted as well as I-70 east to I-71 between Grant Avenue and Town Street.
