GAL Pre-Service Course Dates Start Aug. 24
The Ohio Judicial College has announced the upcoming availability of a course that is required for those wishing to serve as guardians ad litem in their local courts.
The guardian ad litem pre-service course is designed for attorneys and non-attorneys alike, and satisfies the 6-hour pre-service education requirement of Sup. R. 48 for those serving as guardians ad litem in domestic relations and juvenile courts.
The course will be offered:
Wednesday, Aug. 24, in Columbus
Wednesday, Sept. 14, in Fairborn
Friday, Oct. 7, in Columbus
Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Boardman
Wednesday, Dec. 14, in Columbus.
The course has been approved for six hours of general continuing legal education credit and six hours of continuing professional education (CSWMFTB) credit.
