Toledo Municipal Court Administrator to Retire
After 24 years, Pam Roberts will retire this week as court administrator with the Toledo Municipal Court.
A former president of the Ohio Association for Court Administration, Roberts currently serves as chair of the mentoring committee. Roberts’ statewide service also included participation as a member of the Ohio Commission on Racial Fairness, which in 1999 called for changes in the areas of perception of the legal profession, court employment, juries, criminal justice, law schools and interpreter services. In addition, Roberts was part of the first Ohio class of court personnel to graduate from the three-year national Court Management Program in 2004.
"I am proud to have had the privilege of working in the most important part of our government, where individual rights are the concern of highly educated, trained and committed Judges and staff," Roberts said. "Only those who have spent a few years in the Toledo Municipal Court, the fourth largest Ohio court by case volume, can understand the incredible demands on the Judges and staff to adjudicate over 100,000 new cases annually and address over 172,000 individuals scheduled for court appearance."
In retirement, Roberts plans to spend her winters in Lauderdale By The Sea, travel a lot and fine tune her kite-boarding skills.
Lisa Falgiano will become acting court administrator upon Roberts’ retirement.
