Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Stautberg Dies at 43
Members of Ohio’s legal and judicial community are mourning the death of a southwest Ohio municipal court judge.
Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Julia A. Stautberg, 43, died today of bile duct cancer.
Judge Stautberg had served on the municipal court bench since 2004. Her public service career in Hamilton County also included time as director of the board of elections, as an assistant prosecutor, and as a clerk in the clerk of courts office. She received her law degree from the Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law.
On April 30, she was sworn in as president of the Cincinnati Bar Association for 2010-2011. Less than a week ago, she was honored as one of the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati’s Career Women of Achievement for 2010.
