National Moot Court Competition Features Three Ohio Law Schools
Three Ohio law schools will demonstrate their advocacy skills as they present legal arguments this weekend at the Fifth Annual National Moot Court Competition in Child Welfare and Adoption Law at the Ohio Judicial Center and Ohio Statehouse.
The University of Akron School of Law, the University of Cincinnati College of Law and Capital University Law School are among 17 law schools from around the country vying for the championship sponsored by the National Center for Adoption Law & Policy at Capital’s law school and four other prominent child advocacy organizations.
All preliminary rounds will be at the Ohio Statehouse today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The quarterfinal and semifinal rounds will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the final round will be from 3-5 p.m., all at the Ohio Judicial Center.
Participating teams will argue on this topic: “Biology and Parentage: Assisted Reproduction & Same Sex Relationships.”
