The summary covers appropriation provisions for law enforcement/justice funding for $2 billion allocated for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program, which has a deadline of May 18 for the local government portion. The summary also provides information about energy efficiency block grants and various tax provisions for state and local governments (such as new tax credit bonds for government infrastructure projects) and tax relief for individuals.
