Amendments Distinguish Advisory Opinions Issued Under Old Judicial Conduct Code
The Supreme Court of Ohio has adopted amendments concerning advisory opinions issued by the Board of Commissioners on Grievances & Discipline under the old Ohio Code of Judicial Conduct.
The new Code of Judicial Conduct, which regulates the judicial and extrajudicial activities of judges, took effect March 1, 2009.
The new amendments, which become effective Jan. 1, 2010, will distinguish an opinion providing guidance under the former Code as a “Former CJC Opinion.”
