Sixth District Appeals Court Administrator to Retire
Donna Kiroff, who began her tenure as court administrator for the Sixth District Court of Appeals in 1985 at the amazing salary of $29,500, will retire on Dec. 31.
Over the years, Kiroff has guided the court through many changes and much growth. Among her accomplishments are assisting the court in requesting and obtaining a fifth judge’s seat on the court, implementing the computerization of the court, and supervising all aspects of building and moving into the new courthouse in 2001.
Kiroff is a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1980. Before coming to the court, her active participation in the legal community included service as a paralegal with the Toledo Legal Aid Society, assignment commissioner of the Domestic Relations Court, former trustee of ABLE, Inc., and the first Pro Bono Legal Services program administrator of the Toledo Bar Association.
On a personal level, Kiroff has won the respect and friendship of the judges and staff of the court, as well as fellow appellate court administrators. After her retirement, she plans on spending many sun-filled days in her home in Seabrook Island, S.C. and enjoying more time with her husband and their golden retrievers.
