The Office of Court Services supports trial and appellate courts in the administration of justice. The Office oversees several Sections and Programs which provide traditional and innovative services in response to and with respect for the needs of the courts and the public.

Case Management Section - Provides practical and cost-effective solutions for case flow and operational management concerns. The section provides oversight for Court Statistical Reporting and Mayor’s Courts Registration and Reporting. And, it staffs the Advisory Committee on Case Management.

Children & Families Section - Supports all courts and judges in Ohio with jurisdiction over juvenile, probate, and family law matters. The section also manages the federal Court Improvement Program and other court reforms, and staffs the Advisory Committee on Children & Families.

Dispute Resolution Section - Provides mediation training, program monitoring and administration of policies and procedures for dispute resolution. The section also staffs the Commission on Dispute Resolution.

Domestic Violence Program - Assists local courts and justice system partners to develop and strengthen effective responses to domestic violence and related cases. The program staffs the Advisory Committee on Domestic Violence.

Language Services Program - Provides technical support and advice on the use of interpreters in the court and also training for court personnel, judges, and court administrators. The program staffs the Advisory Committee on Language Services.

Specialized Dockets Section - Provides technical support and guidelines for the establishment and operation of local specialized dockets. The section staffs the Commission on Specialized Dockets.

Roundtable Meetings

The Supreme Court of Ohio provides court professionals and justice system partners with the opportunity to come together and discuss ideas and common concerns in roundtable meetings facilitated by Supreme Court staff. Anyone wishing to participate in a particular roundtable should follow the instructions contained in the links below. Unless otherwise noted, all roundtable meetings are held at the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center in Columbus.

Local Court Roundtable Meetings

The Case Management Section and the Children and Families Section host local court roundtable meetings in order to provide a way for judges, magistrates, clerks, court administrators, chief probation officers, and other court and justice system partners from similar jurisdictions to share ideas, concerns, and triumphs. Agenda topics to be discussed are solicited from roundtable participants ahead of each roundtable meeting. View the schedule and registration information.

Mediation Roundtable Meetings

The Dispute Resolution Section hosts mediation roundtables which provide an opportunity for new and seasoned mediators and professionals who manage mediation services provided by courts to network, exchange ideas, and discuss pressing issues in an open forum. All Ohio court-connected mediators and individuals managing court mediation services are encouraged to attend. View the schedule and registration information.

Specialized Dockets Roundtable Meetings

The Specialized Dockets Section hosts meetings for the purpose of providing an opportunity to share challenges, accomplishments, and concerns with peer groups. The meetings are discussion-based and peer-focused as agenda topics are submitted by attendees. View the schedule and registration information.
